Konnichiwa! This week flew by. I only have 10 minutes so sorry if this is all scatter-brained!
So this week we had sempai day, which is where I get to have the phone and keys, lead companion study. and lead discussions on the street, etc. Capener Shimai became the junior companion! It was way fun! Ill write about one big miracle we saw. We went to Murasakibaru, which is up a giant hill. Once we got there, we had to decide where to house. I saw another big hill, so I decided to ride up in. I have no idea why i decided that! our legs were dying and we were exhausted but we rode up the hill anyway. We did some housing and didnt have much success. Then I had a feeling that we should go back near our bikes and go to every house that had at least one light one. We went to this one house, and a lady answered and said ` are you mormon? come in!` we were a little surprised, you never get greeted like that here haha. we went in and then realized that her son is a less active!!!! we talked to him about his baptism and about his concerns. apparently he was really nervous and scared when he was baptized. that was in 2009. we gave him a book of mormon, cause he didnt have one. he told us that he is moving to kobe this week! i know i was led by the Lord to find this man! the Lord knew that he was moving this week so He wanted us to give him a Book of Mormon and show him some love. That was ana awesome experience!
we contacted this one lady on the street and she gave and pickled plums and forced us to eat them in front of her, so that was disgusting. it tasted like i just ate a cube of salt! haha. i just smiled and then spit it out as soon as she left!
weve been concerned with Mayu these past couple weeks but she finally responded to our calls and texts! it was a huge answer to many prayers. we met with her on saturday and went over the importance of baptism and how its a covenant with God. we talked about more of her concerns and changed her baptismal date to the 27th of this month. pray that she will be ready!
yesterday we set a goal of contacting 50 people. we left the house a little early because we really wanted to meet this goal. the first 6 people we talked to let us give them a short lesson! we were able to talk to 55 people yesterday! it was amazing. if you make good goals and show the Lord that you want to accomplish them, He will help you! soory im out of time!
The church is true!
