Christmas was awesome; I got to Skype with the family!!!! Then we went to Kagoshima and rode a HUGE ferris wheel and the bottom of the cart we were in was glass, so that was pretty scary!!
Mana Chan- we finished all the lessons with her this week, and practiced the interview questions. She is SO prepared and ready to be baptized! Well, she gave her parents the permission slip to sign and they said that she couldn't get baptized! They told her that she was too young to know these things for herself. Mana Chan is way scared to try to convince them to let her get baptized. We REALLY need to meet with the parents. but Mana Chan will not let us meet with them, so it makes things way hard! We are trying to build Mana Chan's faith even more so that she will have the courage to talk to her parents about how much this means to her! So her baptismal date for the 27th is now moved....
On Saturday we got to go to the temple!!!! We went with 5 Branch members in a big van. We left at 2am in the morning and did 2 sessions. It was amazing!!! The car ride was 4 hours each way so we are still pretty exhausted from that haha. only 3 hours of sleep.....
We had a Christmas party with the Branch and tons of nonmembers came, it was awesome! We missionaries shared a spiritual message and showed the He is the Gift video. There were probably like 80 people that came!! Outa Kyodai was Santa, so it was hilarious to see a tiny, short, old Japanese guy playing Santa! That night we went caroling with the elders to some members' houses, so that was way fun, too!
Ryu San is the Chinese guy that Kuroki Shimai and I found on her last day in the mission field. He was just a potential investigator, but we've visited him 3 times since and now he's a new investigator! He is awesome! He loves running and is fluent in Japanese and English. He's a college student and has lots of questions. He can't meet till january 6th, but we are way excited to meet with him!! And he wanted to meet at the church, so that's even better!
I hope everyone has an amazing Christmas! I'm so grateful to be on a mission this year for Christmas! I know this Church is true and I love missionary work so much! Love you all!
