So not much has happened since Christmas! Since New Year's is this week everyone is super busy and none of our investigators would let us make appointments for this week. Everyone will either be out of town or having parties. The parties begin like the 30th and go to the 4th or 5th! So we will be doing lots of finding this week! We're kind of scared everyone will be drunk and get mad at us for coming to their house during a holiday....
On Saturday we helped a less-active family move. It was hard work; we are both super sore haha! The boxes we lifted were way heavy! The new apartment they were moving to was right down the street, so we got to ride in the back of a pickup truck which was way fun! Sure got a lot of looks!
So the 8 year old girl (she's from a member family) we have been teaching got over her fear of water and is getting baptized on the 30th! We are so excited for her!
The elders' investigator, Imamura San, got baptized and confirmed yesterday! He is such a stud and rides a huge motorcycle! He bought a new suit just for his baptism and bore a beautiful testimony after his baptism. He even recited a scripture that he had memorized! The elders said they never shared that scripture with him, so he found it on his own! The YSA (young single adults) are really fellowshipping him and he is buds with Ryou Kyodai!
It was kind of sad yesterday at his baptism because Mana Chan was supposed to get baptized, too. We are meeting with her tomorrow and we're just gonna talk about how we can meet her parents and why she doesn't want us meeting them. We are working on building her testimony so she will have more courage to talk to her parents about baptism! We really feel that if we could just meet the parents, they would see that are normal people, and they will let her get baptized. So, we are not giving up on her!
