It is starting to get really cold! We have to wear thick tights, gloves, and scarves or else you freeze!!! Especially with the cold air blowing in your face when you bike! It's way nice though to not be constantly sweaty!
We had a basketball activity on Saturday and Mana and Sae Chan came! It was really fun and we got Krispy Kreme after! We also took pics by this huge christmas tree. People here are seriously obsessed with Halloween and Christmas.
So church was awesome, we had 3 nonmembers come- two investigators, Mana Chan and Hayama San, and then Yamashita Shimai's husband! We are trying really hard to teach him, but he says he's busy with work. But, Yamashita Shimai's son is coming with her to our next ab (after baptism) lesson! She said sometimes she sees him reading her Book of Mormon! I cant wait for when the rest of her family gets baptized!!!!
So our investigator, Miura, texted us out of the blue and basically dropped us. She said she just wants to focus on her daughter right now. We were so sad!!!! She was progressing well. We recently taught her the Word of Wisdom and we think that freaked her out because she loves coffee every morning. Please pray for her!
Hayama San is doing great! We made a baptismal date with her for Jan 10, 2015! She is a little nervous about baptism, but is progressing well. She always asks really good questions in the lessons. She loved church and thought it was cool how everyone really spoke from the heart when they bore their testimonies.
Mana Chan! So she really opened up in this last lesson and told us that her mom is okay with her getting baptized, it's just her dad that says no. Her dad has some liver disease, I think, and Mana says he can never leave the house. She loves her dad so much and so she wants to respect him, but doesn't know what to do. We are going to write him a letter this week and explain everything. We wanted Mana Chan to invite him to one of our activities or church but he can't ever leave the house, so that won't work. She's also scared to have us meet him, so we figured we'd try with a letter. She is doing really well, still progressing and praying every day. She comes to church every week! We appreciate your prayers for her!
I'm out of time but I'm loving my mission so much! I know that this Church is true and I'm so blessed to be in Japan! Love you all!
Klein Shimai
