10/26/14 - New Comp & Double the Work : )

Hello everyone! This week was a roller coaster of emotions!I We had transfers on Thursday which meant I had to say bye to Capener Shimai, the best trainer in the world. It was so hard saying bye to her and I cried pretty much all day on Thursday haha. So her dad came to pick her up at the mission home and then they went to Tokyo and to places where her dad served his mission! Im so happy for her!

So my new companion is Kuroki Shimai, the cutest nihonjin ever! Taniyama went from 4 sisters down to just 2 now, so the apartment seems way huge for just the two of us. Its also a lot quieter haha. She is 23 and went to BYU Hawaii for a few years and is basically fluent in English. We mainly speak Japanese, which is already helping me so much! I ask her so many questions about Japanese; she's probably already sick of me haha. She is so selfless and amazing- I am way excited for this transfer! Contacting on the streets is a little different now that my companion is Japanese. MORE people stare at me, if that were possible haha. I also feel like a giant all the time- i'm like the only foreign girl in all of Taniyama and Kagoshima!!!

Since there are just 2 sisters in Taniyama now, we have the work of what 4 sisters were doing before. We have 2 baptismal dates from me and Capener Shimai and we have 2  more from Kuroki and her old companion. So we are busy and are teaching so many lessons!! Mayu is set for baptism this Saturday; please pray that she will pass her interview tonight! We practiced the questions with her and it went great! This past week the Spirit has really changed her heart. Initially, she didn't want to get baptized until December but in one of our lessons we were picking a date with her and the Spirit touched her heart. She flipped to November 1st in the calendar and we were like oh my gosh thats so soon but you are so ready! I know that the Spirit led her to pick that day because she is ready to receive baptism!!!

Shizuka San, our investigator with two young kids couldn't come to church, so that was a bummer. We will be visiting them this week though.

Tsuji San is progressing well; he keeps all the commitments we give him and asks really good questions during the lessons- hes a deep thinker.

Miura San is hilarious. She has a blind daughter so we went with her to her daughter's school festival one day and Yamashita Shimai and Yukina also came. It's so cool to see Yamashita, a recent convert, fellowship our investigator.  They are becoming really good friends!

I was a little overwhelmed at the beginning of the transfer, but I have been praying really hard for peace and comfort. I can't let myself get stressed out, because it's really hard to have the Spirit with you when you are stressed out!!!! The Lord has answered my prayers and every day during personal study, I have found a super comforting scripture. The Lord really does look out for us and He knows us each individually. I know this gospel is true and I'm so blessed to be on a mission right now. I love being a missionary! Love you all!

Love,
クライン姉妹
