Hello! We had a super great week! Tomoko San was baptized and it was
an amazing baptismal service! Carey Shimai sang a solo which was super
good and made Tomoko Shimai and me cry! Tomoko is doing amazing and the
ward is great at fellowshipping her. We love her!
Last Pday we went to Dazaifu, which is a super big Shinto temple. It
was way fun and I got fancy chopsticks with my name engraved on them
for free!
Chapman Shimai and I trained at two zones' training meetings, so this
week was packed with trainings and prepping for them, but it was really
fun. It's so nice to have Lowe Shimai in the same zone as me and Carey
Shimai!
Can't remember if I talked about Katricia chan last week, but she is
Phillipino and we have a baptismal date with her for Halloween. Turns
out she might move to Sasebo but her younger sisters have started meeting
with us and now they both have baptismal dates. They aren't moving, so
we are super happy about that! Kristine is 12 and Kieko chan is 9.
They are super excited for baptism and read and pray together every
night. They came to church and weren't bored, even though it was 3
hours. Kristine loved Young Women's and is super excited to start
Personal Progress. It's such a miracle how we found this amazing
family. They are so sweet and really listen in the lessons. Please
pray for Katricia, Kristine, and Kieko chan!
So excited to watch Conference this upcoming weekend! So exciting
about the newly called Apostles. It's so true that Christ is at the
head of this church and that we have a living prophet on the earth
today.
The Church is true. I love my mission! There is nothing better than
seeing someone you love so much be baptized. Tomoko Shimai has changed
so much and is so much happier now. She is so amazing. Only God
could've helped her quit smoking two packs a day. It's so amazing to
see the power of the Atonement work in the lives of our investigators.
We love this work! Love you all!
Klein Shimai
