Konnichiwa!
So, since it's starting to get hot again, I got a nice haircut last Pday for free! This is the shortest my hair has been in a while and it feels so good!
Anyway, a lot happened this week! We got to go to Kurume so I could go on splits with Crump Shimai; she is a great missionary. We found a new investigator and learned so much!
We had our first lesson with Morita san, the young mom we housed into the first week of this transfer. It went really well and she cried; we are looking forward to our next lesson about the Plan of Salvation. She said that right now she doesn't intend on joining our Church, but pray that she will feel the Spirit in our next lesson and have her own religious experience. Thanks!
The other day, we we doing some streeting and we ran into one of our investigators that keeps saying she is super busy. Well, we were able to set up another appointment. It was so cool that we ran into her again on the street.
We volunteered at a thing called Lions' Club and did some weeding with them. Good flashbacks to weeding in the backyard; thanks dad ... haha. We've been trying to look for more opportunites to serve lately to help more people know what missionaries are really like!
We met with Yamamoto Shimai this week. She is such an otsukare. She has 3 jobs; 2 in the day and then a night job. She is a single mom with two boys and literally never sleeps. So in the lesson, we made her go in the corner and take a nap while we taught her two boys about baptism ... haha. They are 6 and 8 years old; the 8 year old will be baptized next month! It felt so good to see her get some much needed rest.
On Sunday night we were housing and this young couple invited us into their apartment right away. They are from Myanmar and want us to teach them about Jesus Christ! Coolest miracle ever! Sunday night is seriously the best time to find new investigators!
Biggest news of the week- Mari passed her baptismal interview and will be baptized this Friday! We are so excited for her! Please keep her in your prayers!
We haven't gotten our transfer calls yet, but I'm pretty sure I will stay in Nagasaki for another transfer to finish training Lowe Shimai. I never want to leave Nagasaki!!!
Gomen this was so rambled! Such a busy week, full of awesome miracles. I know this is the Lord's work and I love every single day! The Church is true! love you!
